About JoJodle
JoJodle is a daily character-guessing game for people who have watched, read, or argued about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Every day at 00:00 UTC a single character from the manga is picked, and your job is to work out who it is with as few guesses as possible.
Why we built it
Wordle proved that a one-minute daily puzzle with a shareable result can hold attention for years. JoJo's cast — 217+ characters across nine parts — is perfect source material for that format: each character has a clean set of attributes (part, role, Stand, nationality, hair) that make attribute-by-attribute guessing both readable and satisfying.
We also wanted a version that was content-first: easy to discover from search, indexable per character, and readable on a phone in ten seconds — without requiring a login, a Discord, or a mobile app.
How it works, briefly
- Every puzzle is chosen deterministically from a fixed seeded shuffle, so every player worldwide gets the same character on the same UTC day.
- Comparisons run entirely in your browser. Nothing about your guesses or stats is sent to a server.
- Streak and stats live in your browser's local storage. Clearing site data resets them — there's no server-side backup.

Who makes it
JoJodle is an independent fan project built by a small team of JoJo readers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hirohiko Araki, Shueisha, Warner Bros., David Production, or any other rights holder. All character designs, names, and artwork shown here remain the property of their respective owners and are used under fair use for editorial commentary.

How the site is funded
JoJodle is free to play, with no accounts, no paywalls, and no mandatory sign-up. Running costs (hosting, domain) are offset by lightweight display ads served through Google AdSense and anonymised analytics through Google Analytics. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time from the cookie banner or on our cookie policy page.
Tech
Built on Next.js with TypeScript, Tailwind, and Zustand, and deployed on Vercel. Character portraits are sourced from the community-maintained JoJo Fandom wiki and cached as small WebP thumbnails.
