JoJolion is the second alternate-continuity Part, set in the same Morioh from Part 4 but a Morioh that has been reshaped by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake. The protagonist is found nameless and buried near a cliff; the family who takes him in — the Higashikatas — call him Josuke despite a clear lack of resemblance to anyone in the family album. The Part is, more than anything else, a mystery: who Josuke actually is, what the Higashikatas have been hiding, what the rock-human enclave around them wants, and why the antagonist Tooru exists at all. Stand fights are fewer and stranger than usual, the pacing is the slowest in the saga, and the supporting cast (Yasuho, Rai, Joshu, Daiya, Tsurugi) all carry their own arcs. JoJolion is the Part that demands patience and rewards re-reads.
